Val Dunn's delightful play mediates on rural life and relationships to home. Her characters vary widely in terms of how they relate to Carroll County; some feel suffocated by it, while others feel liberated by it. I thought deeply about characters' access to trends and fashion; which characters had the funds and desire to shop online for the latest styles? Which were confined to Carroll County's thrift stores? Which chose to buy whatever was on sale at Wal-Mart?
